Repurposed Keurig Coffe Box Holder

I used to have this coffee holder in my kitchen for the Keurig. Now it serves another purpose

Holiday Ornament

The large snowflakes and word is colored and cut on the Cricut Imagine from the Joys of the Season cartridge. The small snowflakes are cut from Shrinkydink material on the Cuttlebug and shrunk using a heat gun.

Haunted Mansion

The mansion has glow in the dark paint on all the edges. The words Haunted Mansion use the shadow feature and is covered with Stickles.

Meet Snacky

I write this with an ache in my heart. Snacky is my youngest dog. The last to be brought home and into our family. Sadly, he will be the first to make the trip over the bridge. He is nearly 13 years old and has had trouble with arthritis for a few years. He’s been a wonderful member of the family. No one could ask for a better pet. He’s as gentle as he is large. We adopted him from the animal shelter in 1998 and they told us then he was born some time in 1997. We had him for nearly a week before he got his name. He was so food motivated, we named him Snacky. He never chewed on anything that he wasn’t supposed to, he just wanted his treats. He’s also a clumsy dog. When he was younger, he’d trip over his own paws.

Last week, we noticed a lump on his front paw, at the joint. Due to his clumsiness, we thought he sprained it or something. It wouldn’t have been the first time. So, we made him stay off of it as much as possible and the swelling started to go down. Then it went back up again. Today, we took him to the vet. The news was not good. Snacky has bone cancer and the vet said that it has spread to his lungs. She showed us the x-rays as she was explaining what she saw. Due to the fact that he has bad hips from the arthritis and he is a very big dog, amputating his front paw is not an option. So, the vet sent us home with our Snacky and some pain meds…. to give us time to say goodbye to our beloved friend and family member. I never had any children so Snacky, Sapphire and Twizzle are as close to kids that I’m ever going to get.

I am thankful that I get a chance to say goodbye and I have until Saturday to prepare myself for that last goodbye and it’s going to hurt.

Haunted House

This was a pain in the neck! I used vellum on the windows and put a battery powered candle inside.
